Hey guys!
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while but here we go! Back in late June I ordered the Wild Refillable Natural Deodorant. If you haven’t heard about this brilliant product yet, where have you been? Over the course of the year I’ve been slowly but surely making changes to the way I live, purchase and consume in order to become more eco-friendly, so when I first read about a plastic-free, refillable deodorant that is also very affordable I was absolutely thrilled.

Wild have created a sleek refillable anodised aluminium and recycled plastic case which comes in four colours (I have ‘aqua’), which is able to hold a refillable pack of deodorant. It’s very durable and so easy to refill the case, unless you’re me (when the instructions say to GENTLY squeeze the sides of the pack before putting it into the case so that it is loose and works properly and you near enough squash the thing you realise that you are awful at following clear guidelines). The design of the case is very elegant and modern which I feel just adds a sense of luxury to the product.

The refillable packs currently come in five gorgeous scents although Wild are aiming to release some more scents soon. The packaging is also fully compostable so can go in your compost heap or your food waste bin, which is brilliant! They are all-natural deodorants, and contain no parabens, sulphates, aluminium or artificial scents, so your skin isn’t absorbing any nasties. It is also completely cruelty-free and vegan! I will admit I was very sceptical before I tried this as so many deodorants do not work for me but I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised! The subtle, natural scent keeps me fresh and confident throughout the day which is really great.

One thing I really love about Wild is that you can either buy your case and refills as a one-time purchase or you can go for their flexible subscription service, which is perfect if you’re forgetful like me! The packaging is all plastic free too which again is great for the environment. You can choose how often you want to receive your refills and try out all of the scents. They also fit through your letterbox. I just think that the ingenuity that has gone into creating this product is phenomenal and it’s generally a world changer. Wild are also helping the planet by donating to the deforestation restoring charity ‘On a Mission’ which makes me even more glad that this product is on the market and that it works for me.
Having been using this product for the past 2+ months I can honestly say that I could never go back to an ordinary deodorant. Wild have generally changed the game with their fab idea, and I am so so glad that I bit the bullet and gave it a go. I’m trying to make swaps like this when I’ve used up products I already have and it’s definitely paying off.
Have you tried this deodorant? Perhaps you have some over eco-friendly alternatives? Let me know in the comments!

I have never tried this deodorant before, but I love that the packaging is compostable and the deodorant is refillable! Also, getting it as a subscription is such a clever way to never run out and try different scents. Thanks for sharing!

I have not tried this deodorant before, and I do think this is a great concept! I think this is going to benefit the environment in so many ways, especially with plastic free packaging and the fact that it is refillable rather than single use. I have not thought about this, and must consider sustainable alternatives to normal deodorants!

I have never tried this one but I absolutely love the idea of having a refillable container! Honestly, companies should really think about this. There are so many products we use that generate waste simply because we have to throw away a container that is in perfect condition.

I completely agree! Hopefully other companies take this example and start to think about the waste their products leave. Thank you for your comment 🙂

I love natural deodorants! I used to buy those products full of chemicals and sh*t but it only did bad things to my underam. When I switched to natural deo, the discoloration is gone.
