Summer 2018 favourites – Top 5.

Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you the five beauty products that I cannot get enough of this summer! If you are from the UK like me, you’ll know that we’ve actually been enjoying a proper summer for once, with weeks of hot temperatures and not too much rain! (down in the mid-south of England at least). As a result of the mercury possibly hitting 30 degrees Celsius this Friday (about 86 degrees Fahrenheit, which is hot for us, and it’s a very sticky humid heat too), I’m feeling extremely summery so I just had to write this post! Without further ado, and to save me from waffling on, here are my Top 5 products! All of these are cruelty free.

1. Bodyshop Pina Colada Body Butter.

This stuff is absolutely divine. I use it pretty much daily and it just smells of happy summer memories drinking cocktails and relaxing. Bodyshop body butters are all amazing but this one is the go-to one for summer. Super moisturising, super lush, what’s not to love?

2. Baptiste Dry Shampoo – Tropical

Now we all know that Baptiste are the dry shampoo experts, and let’s just say that with long hair that takes an age to wash and dry, dry shampoo makes my life so much simpler! Add to that the gorgeous tropical scent and you essentially have summer in a bag (or rather, your hair).

3. Barry M ‘That’s How I Roll’ Mascara

Now I decided to try this mascara for my holiday to the USA in June, and I was not disappointed! Despite being in the boiling humid sunshine in Florida, as well as caught in the rain in Chicago, this mascara didn’t budge. Sweat proof and rain proof, perfect! I also love that the wand has short and long bristle meaning that you can coat every single millimetre of every single lash. It makes my lashes look much longer and fuller so it does an excellent job.

4. Revolution Liquid Highlighter in the shade ‘Champagne’.

This highlighter gives you the perfect shimmery summery glow! Really easy to apply with a sponge, stays all day and gives you that perfect summer look. Also, don’t do what I did and think it would make an excellent photo to get the bottle and the pippette applicator side by side – this total wally ended up spilling it, hence how I managed to get the second photo…

5. E.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation

I brought this foundation when I was in the USA (hence the different background) and as I mentioned above, I embraced the sweltering heat of Florida and torrential rain in Chicago and this foundation lasted pretty much all day when paired with Revolution’s face powder. It’s lightweight with moderate coverage which is of course perfect for summer, and blends so easily. I also love the sleek bottle as it makes the product seem really high end. The only negative I’ve found is that although the shade light ivory is perfect for me, there isn’t a huge range of shades and therefore those with darker or really pale skin tones may struggle to find a suitable shade. However I’ve been using this all summer and I love it!

So there we have it, my Top 5 go-to products this summer! What are your must-have products? Let me know in the comments, and please do follow me on here and my social media:
